Awana Ministry

A very popular feature of our children’s ministry is our AWANA program. The goal of our AWANA ministry is to teach boys and girls God’s Word and instruct them in how to live by Biblical principles and convictions in today’s world. Children aged three years old through 5th grade meet each Wednesday at 6:30p.m. in the Family Life Center.  Preteens and Teens from 6th through 12th grade meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the Mary Martha Class of the main auditorium.

We kick off our AWANA program in September and end in May. Each night children memorize God’s word during handbook time, they participate in game time, and a leader presents a bible lesson. Children work in a handbook which they purchase and leaders sign off each section after a child says the verse with a maxium of two helps for longer verses.

In May there is an Award Ceremony where students earn ribbons and plaques based on the amount of verses they memorized for the year.
